4.2 information summary
Dear players,
as the time grows short to the release of the 4.2 content – Rage of the Firelands, we summarize the most important information here and bring you some additional details.
The release date is 28th June 2018 (at 7:00 AM server time).
From that moment, the Firelands raid instance, Elemental Bonds quest chain and The Regrowth and Molten Front quest hubs will be available. Spell casting classes will be able to start their journey to obtain the legendary weapon Dragowrath, Tarecgosa’s rest.
For the race for Realm first: Ragnaros, the damage reduction in heroic mode will be set to 20% for 10man raids and to 15% for 25man raids, which have higher dps requirements by default.
At 28th of June after server restart, all previously earned Valor points will be converted to Justice points (If the collective amount exceeds the Justice Point cap of 4000, each point above this limit will be converted to gold using the formula 1 JP = 0,47 G). Weekly cap for Valor points will be also restarted.
The current tier 11 raid instances (Blackwing Descent, Bastion of Twilight and Throne of the Four Winds) will be nerfed in accordance with 4.2 official patch notes.
The current pvp season will be closed and evaluated. Arenas and rated battlegrounds will be unavailable during the evaluation week. Starting on the 5th of July you will be able to compete in the new PvP season 10 – Ruthless. A new boss, Occu’thar, will be present in the Baradin Hold instance and he will drop new epic items from the new PvP season and PvE content.
With the new season, the same conversion will be applied to Conquest points, which will be turned into Honor points up to the cap of 4000 and excess to gold at a rate of 1 HP = 0,35 G.
Our third anniversray event will end with the server update. Your items that are currently listed in auction houses will stay in neutral auction houses in goblin cities. You can retrieve them there, free of charge, of course.
