10th Anniversary celebrations are here!
Greetings community,
10 years ago a group of gamers and friends started what was to be a small private server project and TwinStar project was born. First came The Burning Crusade realm, TwinStar’s first. Not long after came two Wrath of the Lich King realms, Phobos and Deimos. More people joined the team, and TwinStar grew into a family. Today, 10 years on, TwinStar is one of the leading private server projects. We know a lot of you have treasured memories made here with us. Because of this we have some pretty special things to announce about our 10th anniversary celebrations.
Seeing as how we could not have gotten this far without all of you in our dear community, we have decided we should mark this important year with some celebrations of an epic proportion!
This being such a special year for all of us here on the TwinStar team, we decided we should continue these celebrations all year long.
There will be 4 big events with the details to be revealed closer to the start date of each event and the last event ending shortly before Christmas. You can expect to see something very special happening across our realms while these events are active as a little thank you from us here at TwinStar.
The first event will run 7.3-14.3.2018 and will last for 7 days.
Our first gift to you will be a bonus experience event across all of our Cataclysm and Wrath of the Lich King realms. During this event you can expect to see double experience for characters of level 1-69 on our WotLK realms, and double experience for characters of level 1-79 on our Cataclysm realms. This is your chance to race your way to maximum level! Will you finish an old adventure, or start a new one with a friend?
On Hades during the first weekend of this big celebration, level 85 characters can even take the option for a FREE faction change from Horde to Alliance! Don’t miss out on this one off opportunity. Will you find a home on a new faction and swear your allegiance to the Alliance? More details on how to do this will be announced closer to the start of the event in a separate post.
Player versus player combat is such a big part of what we all enjoy about this game so we have decided to make some big changes to battlegrounds, because who doesn’t love a good fight?
Experience gained in battlegrounds on both Hades and Artemis will be increased PERMANENTLY! This means that you can once again fight your way through the leveling process in defence of your faction. A special thanks from TwinStar to all our PvP players.
The damage reduction currently active in heroic Throne of the Four Winds, Bastion of Twilight and Blackwing Descent on Hades will be adjusted. We will be reducing the damage reduction aura by 5% this coming raid reset. The reduction will then be adjusted by 2.5% every week until we reach a 0% damage reduction as we go into patch 4.1!
Whether you have been here since our very first year or joined our journey recently, whatever realm you call home, we want to share this special time with you.
