Developer update
Dear players,
The release date of Hades is getting closer and closer. As you know, we are reviewing and fixing all of the zones to ensure that players have the greatest leveling experience we can possibly provide. Currently our work in one of the last remaining zones – The Storm Peaks – is coming to an end. We reviewed quest chains, phasing, and fixed all of the bugs that were reported, and that were discovered through our own testing. Gaining reputation with the Sons of Hodir faction is now working correctly, and earning the Storm Peaks’ loremaster achievement has been made possible as well.
After finishing The Storm Peaks, we plan to move into the Grizzly Hills, which is the last zone requiring any kind of review.
Regarding our progress in the Cataclysm zones; Deepholm is nearing its final phase of updates and testing, and Twilight Highlands improvements are just about complete. We intend to release these two zones as soon as possible, allowing them to be tested by players prior to the launch of Hades.
The current state of all zones can be found on our website – http://www.hades-wow.com/quests/
In the past few days, our core developers have been working on one of the most important game mechanics — transports. In Cataclysm, transports (boats, zeppelins, etc.) became significantly more important due to their role in enormous quest events. Some examples include: the Call of Duty quest from the Vashj’ir starting zone, Full Circle (also from Vashj’ir), and Twilight Skies (one of the Horde opening quests for the Twilight Highlands). Previously these quest were set to autocomplete, but thanks to the fixes our developers made, we can finally introduce you to these quests in their proper working state. Call of Duty is currently the only one of these quests available on the PTR because we are still making some corrections. Twilight Skies should be available with the Twilight Highlands release.
We would also like to share some information about raids and dungeons. Our rework of The Bastion of Twilight and the Blackwing Descent is slowly coming to an end. In The Bastion of Twilight, our testers and developers are taking a look at Cho’gall (all previous bosses are already reworked and available on our PTR realm). In the Blackwing Descent, we are currently reviewing the Omnotron Defense System. All bosses except for ODS and Nefarian are already done and ready on our PTR realm. As for dungeons, we are finishing the Halls of Origination and you can already experience our previously reviewed dungeons – The Vortex Pinnacle and The Lost City of Tol’vir on both Artemis and PTR.
All our fixes are available for you on both Artemis and PTR realms. PTR is a public testing realm, where you can set your character to level 80 or 85 (in case you do not want to level it from level 1), get unlimited amounts of gold, and buy some equipment ranging from tier 11 to tier 13 sets, including all the off parts. This should help you in your testing efforts. In the event that you find something which is not behaving the way that it should, we encourage you to report your findings in our bug tracker. This helps us create an even better experience for all of you.
On a final note, please don’t be afraid if you see that the majority of issues on our bug report are written in Czech language. You can write your reports in English, and we will understand them. We fully intend for Hades to be a true international realm based on English, and will continue all of efforts on that front.
